Courtesy appointment reminders via text message are usually provided 48 hours prior to your appointment time, however cannot be relied upon. It is the client’s responsibility to note and remember scheduled appointments. Cancellation of any session must be advised with 24 business hours notice. Failure to provide 24 business hours notice of cancellation/reschedule will incur a cancellation fee of half of the session rate, plus GST (please note that this means cancelations for a Monday must be notified by the preceding Friday at latest). If less than 3 business hours notice is provided, the full fee for the session will be charged. Medicare does not cover fees for cancelled sessions or sessions that you fail to attend.
Appointments funded by WorkCover and DVA are also subject to this cancellation policy. Cancellation fees are billed to the client, not to the funding body. Cancellations of NDIS sessions with less than 24 hours notice will attract a cancellation fee, as listed above, and this will be billed to the NDIA, plan manager, or to the client if they are self-managed.
